It is indeed a place and time gone with the wind…

A remnant of one of Atlanta’s golden eras, it endures as an architectural beauty, an icon of history and a mecca for those who wish to see the place where the best-loved novel of all time was created. It is a poignant place of reflection, inspiration and hope for both the future and for the preservation of our rapidly disappearing past.

Tours of the Margaret Mitchell House & Museum last one and a half hours. Special group rates are available for groups of 10 or more. Group Leaders, Tour Directors and Bus Drivers are our complimentary guests.

Convenient Free Parking and Access

Located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, we are a short 1 ½ blocks from Atlanta’s Midtown MARTA Station. The house has easy access from Interstates 75 and 85. FREE PARKING is available for all of our group tour guests, including those arriving by motorcoach.

The Margaret Mitchell House & Museum is completely accessible to the handicapped.
